Broncos Among Three AFC Teams Atop DBA NFL Power Ratings.

The AFC is now a 2.5-point favorite to win this year's Super Bowl at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. The NFC representative was a 3-point favorite just two weeks ago, but a two-game skid by the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks combined with a three-game winning streak by the reigning AFC champion Denver Broncos has forced the move.

The Broncos are the 3/1 favorites to win Super Bowl XLIX at the SuperBook followed by the Green Bay Packers at 6/1 and the Seahawks at 7/1. That matches up pretty favorably with the latest Don Best Advantage NFL Power Ratings, which have Denver leading all NFL teams with a rating of 102. However, the DBA Power Ratings have Green Bay tied for fifth overall at 98 while Seattle is tied for third with the Indianapolis Colts at 99.5. The Baltimore Ravens are surprisingly rated No. 2 in the league at 100, giving the AFC the top three teams along with Seattle.

The Packers lead a strong group of four NFC teams tied at No. 5, as the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles all join them as potential division winners and/or playoff qualifiers. Two teams not getting as much respect right now despite putting together a combined record of 11-3 through the first seven weeks are the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions, who are tied for 10th with a 96.5 rating.

The Miami Dolphins are also tied with the Cowboys and Lions while the Kansas City Chiefs (97) are one spot ahead of them at No. 9. The Dolphins may be a good bet to win the AFC East based on the DBA Power Ratings at 7/1 odds because they are currently rated a half-point better than the New England Patriots (1/8 to win the division), who are tied with the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 13.

A couple big NFL divisional matchups for Week 8 include the AFC West-leading Broncos (-7.5) hosting the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night Football and the AFC North-leading Ravens visiting the Bengals (-1.5) on Sunday. The Chargers (94.5) are another team lacking respect in the DBA Power Ratings, as they are tied for No. 16 with the Chicago Bears. San Diego and Chicago shockingly both sit one point behind the Washington Redskins (95.5), a team that is in last place in the NFC East and starting third-string quarterback Colt McCoy against the Cowboys (-9) on Monday Night Football.
