Miami Heat Pay Hump Day Visit To Chicago Bulls

Wednesday night's NBA betting action is comprised of 24 teams involved in a dozen games, but all 30 teams will be watching the clock as the trade deadline draws near. Teams have until Thursday to make deals, and there are a ton of players considered to be on the block and a lot of teams that are in the market as either byuers or sellers.

Two teams from the Eastern Conference that have to determine if they are contenders this year are the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers. These two are going to meet in the first game of an ESPN doubleheader at Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m. (ET). Both teams could definitely be buyers at the deadline, as there are young pieces that could be traded in exchange for veterans who could help them win right now.

As for Wednesday's game, expect a relatively low scoring affair. The 'under' has cashed in 11 of Philly's last 13 games against Central Division teams, and the Sixers are 9-3 in their last 12 games overall.

On January 9 when these teams met in the City of Brotherly Love, a 96-86 decision in favor of the Sixers finished two buckets below the total. It was the 23rd 'under' in this series in the last 32 meetings.

These two teams are still trying to run down the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat atop the Eastern Conference. Those two behemoths are going to be in the second half of the double dip on ESPN, with the tip coming at 9:30 (ET) on Wednesday night.

Ironically, the Heat and Bulls are expected to basically stay still at the deadline. However, both are starting to have some ATS problems for bettors to note.

The Heat started a three-game road trip on Tuesday night at the Orlando Magic, and are entering that game on a lousy 1-4 ATS run in their last five games. Chicago might be 3-1 SU in its last four games, but is only 1-3 ATS in those clashes.

Injuries are definitely going to be notable for both teams in this game. Miami will likely be without Mike Miller, who has an ankle sprain, while Chicago will likely still be without Luol Deng (wrist) and Richard Hamilton (shoulder).

Keep a close eye on the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics, both of which could be making big time moves before the Thursday deadline. Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard are names that are being dangled around if there are buyers that are willing to pay the steep price to get them.

Both teams are on the road on Wednesday. The Celtics are taking on the Golden State Warriors, one of the suitors for Howard. Tip time from Oracle Arena is set for 10:30 p.m. (ET). The Magic are involved in an 8:30 p.m. (ET) tip at the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are suddenly just 3-3 SU and ATS on this homestand after starting the year 13-1 SU and 10-4 ATS in their first 14 home games.

Among the 7:30 (ET) tips on Wednesday are the Portland Trail Blazers at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors taking on the New Jersey Nets. At 8:00 (ET), the Los Angeles Lakers travel to the New Orleans Hornets, the Houston Rockets host the Charlotte Bobcats and the Cleveland Cavaliers square off in a clash of teams trying to get into the back end of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The three games that start in the 10:00 (ET) hour are the Detroit Pistons at the Sacramento Kings, the Atlanta Hawks visiting the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz battling the Phoenix Suns in the desert.
