Oklahoma City Thunder: This is a rematch of the Western Conference Finals last year when the Thunder won the final four games after trailing 0-2. GM Sam Presti made the shocking recent trade of sixth-man James Harden to Houston. Kevin Martin will replace some of his point production after coming over, but this hurt the Thunder’s title chances this year. It remains to be seen if they have a mental hangover for this season opener.

San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs will be playing the second half of a back-to-back after rallying for a 99-95 win in New Orleans on Wednesday night. Manu Ginobili missed that game with a back injury, so check his injury status for Thursday. Tim Duncan will be tired as well playing in consecutive games at his advanced age of 36. Coach Gregg Popovich does have a very deep roster once again, but it won’t be easy going against fresh, young guns like Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
