Minnesota Timberwolves: Minnesota (6-7 straight-up, 7-6 against the spread) will be in a back-to-back situation on Wednesday after winning 97-89 at Sacramento on Tuesday. The Timberwolves had lost five straight heading into Sacramento while also going 0-5 ATS. Power forward Kevin Love started his season four games ago after a broken hand and is averaging 24 points and 16.5 rebounds per game in the short span. However, the team is still struggling to score, averaging just 92.1 ppg on the season. Minnesota really misses point guard Ricky Rubio (knee) who has not played this year. Guard Brandon Roy and forward Chase Budinger are also out with knee injuries, hurting team depth (click to check updated NBA injury report).

Los Angeles Clippers: The Clippers (8-6 SU and ATS) have a four-game losing streak of their own, failing to cover in any of them. The first three games were tough tilts at Oklahoma City (117-111), Brooklyn (86-76) and Atlanta (104-93). The one home contest was last Monday, a 105-98 setback to New Orleans as 13-point favorites. Power forward Blake Griffin was just 1-of-9 shooting from the field for four points against the Hornets and will be looking to atone for that disappointing performance on Wednesday. The Clips are still a solid home team overall at 5-3 SU and ATS this season. Sixth man supreme Jamal Crawford leads Los Angeles in scoring with an average of 18 ppg, but he has been down at just 13.8 during this losing streak, compared to 19.7 during the first 10 games. This is the first encounter between Los Angeles and Minnesota this year. The road team has had its way over the last five, going 5-0 ATS and 4-1 SU.
