The NFC South features two teams at 3-0 in the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. Since late last season Cam Newton has led the Panthers to seven consecutive regular season wins.

Last year the notion was the NFC South was weak therefore the Panthers won based on the conditions of the division. This year the notion is the Panthers have played one of the weakest schedules in the NFL thus not deserving to be considered a true legitimate top team.

In each game thus far they've played against a team with either a new starting quarterback or a second-year quarterback.  That has led to wins against a Luke McCown led Saints, Blake Bortles led Jaguars, and Ryan Mallet led Texans. This week they face the Buccaneers who also are led by a young quarterback in rookie Jameis Winston.

After this weekend the Panthers will head into their bye week possibly sitting at 4-0.

All signs from a betting stand point will lead people to believe that a down fall ATS will likely occur. Rather than anticipate a decline I believe the value on the Panthers will only grow in the month of October and beyond.

As a team they play as balanced as any team in the NFL on both sides of the football. They've found ways to win with the defense leading the way against Jacksonville and ways to win with the offense against the Saints and Texans.

They're also a team that does not panic. Ron Rivera sticks to a grind it out style of play that the Panthers have learned to thrive off of. Second and fourth quarters are vital to the success of winning teams, and the Panthers have been tremendous in those quarters. Thus far this season they've outscored all opponents through three games in second and fourth quarters.

Adding Jared Allen to the defensive line and the expected return of linebacker Luke Kuechly will only give the Panthers more of a boost of confidence.

Cam Newton has put aside attitude issues that use to plague him in seasons past. Instead he has been a vocal leader as well as a do it all versatile threat with his arm and legs

The success rate he is clicking with both skill sets thus far this season has not been to this level since his college days at Auburn.

It was not long ago in 2013 that the Panthers finished with a record of 12-4. That season featured a winning streak of 11 of 12 games with many of the players still on the current Panthers.

The Panthers perceived weak schedule will offer an undervalued Panthers team ATS. Ride their  current seven game regular season win-streak and keep them on your value radar.
